What does a ceilidh cost?

​

This would depend upon duration and PA requirement etc but  typically would be £560 + travel. 

We would look at reducing the costs for unfunded charity or community events.

A Little Bit About Us

Su (mandolin/banjo/bodhran/vocals), Anna (fiddle/vocals), John (guitar/vocals​

​

Founder members of The Rosevilles, John and Su, have played together for over 25 years. Playing throughout Cornwall in the rousing Irish band 'Hair of the Dog' and then later with 'The Ransome Crawlers' ceilidh band. Su has also played with the Cornish fiddle group 'Bagas Crowd' and sang with the women's shanty group, 'The Jolly Strumpets'.

 

Anna, after playing many years in classical orchestras, also

found a love of folk music after joining Bagas Crowd .  In addition to having played with The Bolingey Troyl Band , the theatre group Mr Bones Presents and the fiddle group Dyski, Anna teaches music and sings with the community choir 'Raise the Ruth'

Our Callers are Nina or Kate'

Nina is from Devon and has been involved in folk music and ceilidh dancing for most of her life.  She is actively involved in many aspects of Cornish culture especially around music and dancing and has danced with many groups including Appalachian and Morris .

Kate, from the NE of Scotland, has been immersed in ceilidh dancing with a wealth of calling, dancing and playing experience This included forming a ceilidh group in Reykjavik, Iceland and playing in the Icelandic ceilidh band 'The Reel Thing' .
